I have upgraded several PC's and had good results. The upgrade keeps all your data (pictures, downloads, etc) and your installed programs and games. Some programs may need an update after the upgrade, but most work very good. I only had one program get removed when upgrading. It was CCleaner. For some reason windows 10 does not like it.

The upgrade process takes some time, so do it when you have a several free hours! On average it took me 5 hours or so to complete and optimize the upgrade.

I had one older PC not take the upgrade due to the processor was not compatible. The upgrade rolls back, so you still have your old system. I also saw a PC fail the upgrade due to issues with the video drivers and hardware.

No telling how much longer this upgrade will work, so if you are interested, try it soon.
